  Location very good - close to shops, bars and sights.

  Bed had seen better days but ok, some may say sloping floor adds character but it made it difficult to avoid going to the room door rather than the toilet...

  The reception staff were most welcoming, pleasant and helpful. My room was large, very well equipped and comfortable. The hotel is within easy reach of some excellent restaurants, sports facilities,the river estuary and [although this was not the purpose of my trip] beaches at Biarritz and the Pays Basque countryside. I enjoyed an excellent long weekend.

  The hotel and staff give good value....except for room 301 on which the bed nearest the bathroom has a collapsed mattress on the side nearest the bathroom,I have mentioned this to the lady on reception. I have stayed at this hotel before and found it very good in all respects.

  Breakfast is ok.

  Maybe we just got the worst room in the hotel, too small for two persons, the door for bathroom could not be closed, always some bad smell there, we booked for two days originally but have to leave after one day, the worst Best Western I have ever experienced.

  The hotel room was nice and clean. Location is excellent, no need to add hotel breakfast, there is plenty of nice bakeries that have great coffee and everything else. The stuff were very helpful

  The room didn't have a kettle or coffee machine that is usually found in best western hotels and no glasses for water. For those who have apple products will most likely unable to connect to internet through the wifi, will have to use the only computer downstairs.

  The location of the hotel was excellent. There were many shops and restaurants nearby. We had a car and were always able to find street parking near the hotel (much cheaper than paying for the nearby lot). Beds and pillows were very comfortable.

  While there is free wifi in the entire hotel, it doesn't support any Apple products. There is one laptop for guest use in the lobby area, but the French keyboard is very different, so a bit difficult to use (the letters are in different places).

  The hotel is located in a very central position. The room is quite big. Quality is Best western standard

  It's a good Best Western hotel (Grand Hotel is just the name), but it isn't definitely worth the money. Breakfast is far too expensive, WiFi is not working, old style elevator is noisy; no parking available, neither to unload the luggage

  Friendly helpful english speaking staff. Well working conditioners. Free wi-fi.

  Hotel parking is not comfortable, entrance/exit is scratched on both walls by cars, so if you are on a middle-size or full-size car - you're in a problem. The hotel is in a quite old building, so do not expect soundproofing and new materials. So, generally I find the hotel too expensive in overall. I paid 260 euro for 2 nights with breakfast. Ilso, Ive discovered Best Western is not a standard, so their hotels differ dramatically.

  The hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was large and had all essential facilities including a large screen TV. The buffet breakfast was good.

  The parking for the hotel was about 200 yards away, at a cost of 13 euros per day. It proved impossible to stop temporarily outside the hotel to check in because the single space outside was occupied, as were all the nearby parking spaces. It was necessary to find a space much further away to park temporarily, then walk back to the hotel with luggage, and move the car later. However the hotel receptionists were very helpful. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but the staff recommended a good one nearby.

  Location was good but the room was very small indeed. Put your arm out of the bed and you were touching the toilet door!

  I left my laptop in the room at check out and they had it waiting for me when I realized and returned.

  The propitious use of down comforters. They are great for winter or rooms with air conditioning, but suboptimal for summer and for rooms lacking air. Otherwise, the room was convenient and nice.
